WHALE WATCHING

During the winter months, primarily January, February March and April, Humpback whales migrate from the northern regions to warmer Caribbean waters to give birth. These social animals are known for “putting on a show” during their time down south, and can be spotted breaching and in the deep ocean.
BIRDING
In addition to the plentiful marine life, Middle & North Caicos boast a vibrant bird population as well. Herons (tri-colored, great blue, green-backed, and yellow-crowned night), Egrets (reddish, great white, and cattle), Pelicans and Flamingos can be seen throughout the lagoon areas, near Cottage Pond, and at Flamingo Pond Overlook.
